We have some exciting news to share. Rapid has officially acquired Grace Governance Solutions — and for those who know Swifton's history, this announcement will feel particularly close to home.

Swifton's team were the original developers of Grace's software suite. We built GRACE, HARRIET, and Connie — and over the years watched them grow into trusted solutions used by local authorities, the fire service, and schools across the UK. This acquisition means that for the first time, the team that built these products and the company that owns them are united under one roof. It is something we are genuinely proud of.

A reminder of what Grace's solutions do

GRACE — Governance, Risk and Control Evaluation

Corporate governance and risk management software, developed in partnership with local authorities including Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.

HARRIET — Health & Safety Risk Assessment

A complete health and safety platform covering hazard identification, risk libraries, accident reporting, and scheduled alerts. Designed by practitioners for practitioners.

Connie — Business Continuity in Emergencies

Business continuity planning and incident response, aligned to the business continuity management standard (BS25999) and developed with the London Borough of Redbridge and Ribble Valley Borough Council.

What this means going forward

Swifton continues to operate as its own company; it is business as usual for all existing customers and projects. What changes is that Grace's solutions now benefit from Swifton's full development team behind them, and access to the broader Rapid group's capabilities including:

• AI integration and application modernisation.
• ISO 27001 certified security and resilience support.
• Low-code development and digital transformation expertise.

A message to Grace customers

First and foremost, it is business as usual. Your existing contracts, support, and services remain completely unchanged, and the teams you know are still here to help.

That said, we are genuinely excited about what comes next. With Swifton's full development capability now behind Grace's solutions, we have ambitious plans including adding new features, improving performance, and evolving the platforms to meet your needs even better.

We will be hosting a virtual showcase where we will walk you through the new developments and give you a chance to see what is in the pipeline. We would love to see you there — details to follow.
